White sandy beaches, crystal clear water and brightly
coloured coral, the archipelago of Los Roques makes for an idyllic Caribbean
getaway. Gran Roque is the only inhabited island but there are several
other small islands that can be explored, the entire group commands national
park status. Relatively unknown beyond Venezuela, its charms are now
starting to be discovered by others. A great place to unwind, the clear
waters of Los Roques are great for diving and snorkelling. Los Roques
can be tagged on to any Venezuelan itinerary or visited as a destination
on its own.
Properties
La Cigala

Los Roques welcomes a small number of tourists each year. There are
no large resort style hotels and most people end up staying in comfortable posadas.
La Cigala has just eight rooms and is furnished simply throughout. Totally relaxing
this is a lovely place to spend a few stress free days. The beach is nearby as
is the central plaza of the town.
