The world’s longest peninsula stretches over
a 1000 kilometres from the frontier towns on the US border, through arid
desert, rugged coastline, national park and high peaks down to the exclusive
beach resorts at Los Cabos. Sandwiched between mainland Mexico and the
peninsula, the Sea of Cortéz is rightly acknowledged as being
the world’s number one whale-watch destination. Between January
and March, large numbers of Gray, Minke and Sperm Whales return to the
Sea of Cortéz to breed. Visible from land, it is a totally different
experience when viewed from the side of the Spirit of Endeavour. Whales
will often be seen close to the boat, if you are fortunate you may even
see the largest mammal on the planet, the mighty Blue Whale. At up to
30 metres in length, the heart of the Blue Whale is the same size as
an average family car! Dolphins love the food rich waters as do turtles;
both can be seen at different times during the year.
Vessel
Spirit of Endeavour

Accommodating 102 passengers, the Spirit of Endeavour
is small enough to allow you to get close up to the abundant wildlife
in the Sea of Cortéz. All cabins have an outside view and private
facilities. There is plenty of viewing space on the vessel’s three
decks.
