Brazil
From the icy waters around Cape Horn to the dry deserts of Peru,
Chile’s landscape is stunning and incredibly varied. The Pacific is
never far away and the Andes Mountains, which form the backbone
of the country, loom large. Sit back with a glass of Chilean wine
and take it all in.

Flanked by the Andes Mountains to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west, just an hour’s drive from downtown Santiago and you can either be on the slopes or lazing by the sea. A large city with a population in excess of five million, Santiago is one of South America’s best located capitals. The architecture is generally modern although some colonial buildings do remain. The climate is favourable and many vineyards can be found in the surrounding countryside. Visit the nearby maritime town of Valparaiso and ride the many funicular railways that connect the port and the historic old town.
