Brazil
From the icy waters around Cape Horn to the dry deserts of Peru,
Chile’s landscape is stunning and incredibly varied. The Pacific is
never far away and the Andes Mountains, which form the backbone
of the country, loom large. Sit back with a glass of Chilean wine
and take it all in.

Were it not for the smoke rising from the active volcanoes, you could be forgiven for thinking that you had just landed in Switzerland. The Lake District is one of Chile’s most scenic regions, it is also one of the easiest to access and get around. Outdoor activities are popular; should you feel brave enough then there are good rafting rivers; there is excellent fishing and great walking amongst the rolling countryside. The beautiful landscape continues on into Argentina; the lake crossing between the two countries makes a wonderful side trip. March and April are particularly spectacular as the forests turn into a riot of autumnal colour.
