Belize & Guatemala
The world’s second largest coral reef hugs the coast of Belize.
Inland Mayan ruins dot the landscape and big cats roam the
dense jungle. Guatemala is a vibrant and fascinating country.
Experience its traditional markets, towering volcanoes and
colonial towns.

For beautiful beaches and only a handful of people, head south to Placencia. Less commercial than Ambergris, Placencia is all about relaxation and rejuvenation. At the very tip of a long and narrow peninsula the town is a sleepy place with just a few shops and restaurants. To the north of the town are a number of good quality hotels, all with good beach frontage looking out over the Caribbean. Further south in Belize is the farming heartland of Toledo. Only recently opened up to tourism the scenery is varied and dramatic. The mighty Maya Mountains loom over the land, wildlife is ever present. There are a number of important archaeological sites, most of which are un-restored with jungle encroaching upon them.

Each of the spacious cabanas has been well designed with a thatched roof, comfortable beds and good quality bathroom. Outside there are hammocks. Activities from the lodge include guided walks, visits to local Mayan sites and kayaking along the river that cuts through the lodge’s grounds.
